I was a little disappointed that Dom didn't reread the deja vu question later in the episode. Is it permissible to believe that God used the genetic material of St. Joseph for the male genetic material in Jesus? He did this miraculously and did not affect the blessed mother's virginity. I like this thought to reflect an even deeper connection between Jesus and his earthly father. The church does not have a teaching on where the genetic matter of Jesus came from other than the fact he's Mary's son. It could be that God just wrote the code himself and then created those those chromosomes.
