TikTok Translates Re-Re Messages to Maori

Many TikTok users noticed that the app seemed to be translating the re-re-re messages to Maori, an Eastern Polynesian language spoken by the indigenous peoples of New Zealand. If you translate enough, it repeats one person commented because re-re all relate to expressions of anger and Maori. We can say it was merely a glitch and certainly stranger things have happened on the internet but perhaps there was something else at work with the haunting translations.
