Judith Herman's work really helped me have a framework. She talks about three phases of recovery that are clearly on a continuum. They intermingle and flow in and out of each other a bit. Reintegration involves going back into the things that used to bring your life. And can I over stress the importance of finding safe therapeutic relationships? A pastor is a pastor, not a therapist.
