The First National People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit
The first national people of color environmental leadership summit was set to take place in October 1991. Rachel Sideman has spent the last few years researching the summit for a new exhibit she's curating at the Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum. The purpose of the summit was simple: To bring all these groups together and learn about each other's fights, learn about what each organization was grappling with.
