The Darkness of a Goat

The sun was shining bright, with zero cover, you could see for miles in every direction from this observation post. I had to hold my hand literally about one or two inches from my face to see it. At that point it's completely dark. You can't see anything. It was eerily quiet, like there was no noise. Our radios were always immaculate, clean, operational. And our radios came priority one. We began hearing faint popping noises overhead,. It could have been ten feet up in the sky and i couldn't tell how far away it is. The only visible light that i could see was o the display on the radio down inside the hesco baskets.
