How Did Your Grandfather Survive the Holocaust?
Your grandfather survived the genocide by working with the German military on the railroads. Where did your grandfather end up? When the war in my grandfather and his family escaped to Bulgaria, where my father was born. A generation later when the Soviet Union, kind of regime, the Soviet regime took over Bulgaria as part of the Eastern European bloc. My father then further escaped from Bulgaria. He settled in Lebanon, which is where I was born.
