The Importance of Love in Calvinism
In the Westminster edition of his institutes a lengthy 500 page treatment and more Calvin cites many verses yet never once does he cite first John for eight or 16 which says God is saying thing. Rather than attempting to explain such passages away Calvin ignores them altogether. Many countless attempt to argue from common grace the notion that God holds a generally loving disposition towards all men it can such a provisional grace be measured against first Corinthians 13's definition of love?
