Kraftwerk song numbers have an amazing effect a bit like this. As notes circle round in an arpeggiation they're kind of scattered all over the place by a really nice delay and you get this kind of crazy spiraling effect that sort of dizzies the mind. Now one thing you can do of course instead of going down in the pitch as it goes through this region you can go up so this is the same kind of idea but with the harmonises set to above unity so they're tending towards higher notes.
