Film Review - Misaki - The Back Story

I knew from the beginning that the mother was going to be abusive, the mother of misaki. And as we were sort of creating these characters, and i felt that misaki was somehow able to speak at the level or with some more depth or sensibility a then kafuku. There was a deep subtext or back story that was there. It wasn't in the original script, actually. But because the back story was so vivid and so interesting, um, it made its way into the film, and i think became a really strong moment.
