Sepsis - 30 mLs Per Kilolitre
All of the big trials used 20 mLs per kg, which strikes me as a far more reasonable number. There is no good evidence for this number at all. The patients that didn't get fluid might very well have had a confounder for why they died more frequently than had nothing to do with the fluid. For adults with sepsis or septic shock, we suggest using dynamic measures to guide resuscitation over static parameters.
