The Doctrine of Unconditional Election

All Bible believing Christians believe in election. Arminian affirms conditional election which is to say that God's choice is conditioned on something outside of himself. The Calvinist says because he or she does not believe in prevenient grace that all mankind would forever and finally repudiate the gospel, nobody gets chosen. Because we're all dead. We're all hostile. And so were He not to unconditionally choose and elect individuals to inherit eternal life, no one would ever come to faith in Jesus.
