Orwell's 'I Will Work Harder'

They had come to a time when no one dared speak his mind. They'd just seen all this terror and fear and death and murder. This was not what they wanted. So their answer, even after seeing all this blood and death, their answer is still trust napoleon and work harder. And really, it's hard to feel sorry for them any more, because they are choosing ignorance. The truth is obvious at this point. Twas not even stupidity any more. It's something much worse.
