The Success of Augustus Caesar

Augustus was a much more successful person in charge than Julius Caesar. He didn't give any mercy to his enemies and treated the Senate very carefully. Octavian got rid of anybody who might challenge him, including Cleopatra's child which she claimed was fathered by Caesar. Augustus would never do anything as crass as that.
