What's the Difference Between Breakfast and Breakfast?
In english, we call our morning meal breakfast, like breaking a fast. And in spanish, the word desauno, it's like the exact same thing. As a matter of fact, this has happened in more than two languages. The latin word that means to fast is related not only to aunar in spSpanish, to fast, but also the word in french. It gives us other cool words too, like the word jijune in english, which means sort of dull or insipid.
