Symbols and Ai From a Culturally Constructed Perspective

We were trying to get people to think about concepts in the ai from that kind of behaviorl perspective, where maybe what's interesting about symbols is what people do with them. We took inspiration from this philosopher, charles sanders pierce, who described symbols as being a three part relationship between something that like, represents something, a thing being denoted and the person or people who are making that relationship frim. And we were biskly trying to argue that people should think about symbols and ai from a similar perspective. I think language plays a huge role in constructing the abstractions that we use in the world.
