The polar bear was so big that it could actually touch the bottom of the river. Noad had his shotgun loaded with safety off, aiming and looking down the barrel square on the chest of the polar bearo as it's approaching him. But i made up my mind that i wouldn't actually pull the trigger unless it was literally a matter of life and death. The closest point it came to me was within forty feet.
We live in a noisy world by any estimation. And while we need people, we also need solitude.
This week I’m speaking with Adam Shoalts, who was named one of the “greatest living explorers” by Canadian Geographic. Adam is an author, speaker, and adventurer who has learned to tap into the rejuvenating power of solitude.
In our conversation, Adam reminds us about the importance of the solo adventure in life to reconnect with ourself and rediscover what matters most. I hope you will feel inspired to create more space than you have right now.
