Is There a Connection Between Beethoven and the Grateful Dead?

I'm curious what your response would be if you got to hear a little Beethoven in person. And if that physical experience would be a different one. Because I never got to see the dead live. Which is a regret. But I think about my education has been so much passion driven. And I think that's very, very much what you see in a lot of Beethoven's music.
