The Importance of Peer Support in the Emergency Department
The Sinai Toronto program supports teenagers and young adults with any mental health issues during and after their ED visit. The Calgary program supports adults and substance use disorder after the ED visit. I think that this is really one of the only opportunities we do have to help these people because otherwise no one's helping them, says Dr. Borgenvog.
