Is There a Need for Math to Do Science?
Most philosophers see it as a heroic effort to make the point that maybe math isn't necessary. But there's a lot of steps he took along the way with people quibble with. Most mathematicians and most physicists think that math is an inherent part of the universe. I don't know what it means for the universe to care about something.
