Is the Italian MAFIA the One That Has Captured So Much Attention?
Italy is an interesting example of if you want this phenomena and the way that it has developed through the centuries. In other countries, it hasn't got in because that state building process was different. And in Italy, it is very much intertwined, if you want, with the economy, with the political system. If we go to the south of Italy, but also in the north of Italy, it tries to control the territory in a very specific way. Are they still quite dominant in the states or have they been overtaken by other syndicates?
