Joy Division were booked to headline a gig at Rafters in Manchester. A fight ensued between the two bands over who would be headlining that night. Ian Curtis jumped off the stage and cut himself on broken glass, says Stephen Morris. The band's drummer describes it as "the most cathartic thing I've ever seen"
