UX Designers Are Not the Same as Product Managers

Designers need to understand the customers, come up with ideas for how to address their needs. This should sound similar to a product manager's role, and it absolutely is. Some start ups won't hire a p m because they feel a u x designer can do it all. The lead designer will also likely do user research and come up with requirements. We want to create th short term and long term to help deliver the best over all product experience.
