When did we first get our robot slaves to mars? It took a while. In the 19 sixties, the russians tried sending nine robotic missions to mars, all of which failed. Meanwhile, in 19 71, the russian mars two probe was scheduled to land on mars, and it ded in, crashing into the planet instead. However, a month later, a russia's mars three probe did successfully land, only to stop working a few seconds later. And hers have led some to speak of their being a curse of mars, because so many missions to this planet have gone wrong. The purpose of this article is to discuss them from this standpoint.
