The Agustinian Dilemma

I believe in the energy transition, of course I do, it's necessary. We've not had enough investment in recent years. It's this clash between the interests of the here and now and the long-term aspirations we have to decarbonise the energy economy. This is what I always call the Agustinian dilemma. For those of us educated by Catholic priests, they make me virtuous but just not yet,. oh Lord. While being educated by Catholic priest wasn't a risk I was ever exposed to. Well, that's what the word's like. The idea for tomorrow is far away and let's just deal with right now.
