Was Jesus Truly God in Man?

The first vatican council defined several points about man's capacity to prove the existence of god by the light of reason, and also the rational verifiability of the fact of divine revelation. Western consciousness was losing sight of the word of god as active presence and a communication from god that one could acknowledge by faith and build a life around. This loss of consciousness seems to be one of the principal characteristics of secularization. Our graduates student, the one i was talking with, was, in a way a perfect example of yaroslav pelican's point.
