The Importance of Accountability Without Control
Kimberly Cevallos: I think that what you just described is the thing that terrifies most people. Like, I am accountable, but I have to relinquish control in order to achieve the end of the day. One of the things that Steve Jobs used to talk about a lot, and when he was at Apple, is that if you are a leader, you have accountability without control and just accept it. And so the sooner you admit as a manager that your job is to have accountability Without Control, the better off you'll be.
