The book seems to be about nature versus nurture and mostly its nature. The character that gets completely excise from the film, um, because it's not, he's a Chinese American man. He is like straddling so many different walks of life and what kind of person can you be? I was kind of, the book ended and I was like, wow, did I really just like a 600 page, cane and able allegory that much?"
