The Complexity of the Nervous System

It's a very interesting observation that you make and it's something that many of us have been worried about. We haven't really experienced a world where the units are as sophisticated or quite frankly more sophisticated than the aggregate. That is a new kind of complex system that we're building, says Michael Garvey. Tyler talks about human creativity for example in jazz ensembles but using models from statistical physics which aren't individual musicians they're actually ferromagnets that have happened down spin so let's just listen a little bit to Tyler and like to hear your reflections on his episode.
