The book Gender by Greville Corbett is one of the Cambridge textbooks in linguistics. If you have access to an academic library, you can almost certainly get a hold of it through interlibrary loan or through some other means. The Ojibwe word for tobacco is actually an animate because it has this sort of ritual significance. So they put it in the animate class, even though it's not actually animate.
