The Origins of Idiopathic Hypersonia

Idiopathic hypersonia comes from a neurologist in Cold War era Czechoslovakia named Bitharyk wrote. He was important in the study of sleep, because he had a clinic in Prague devoted to narcolepsy and hypersonia. And for him hypersonia meant people who like they didn't fall asleep quickly necessarily, but sleep was taking over their life.
