The Hermetic and the Dead Sea Scrowls

The thenaamadi texts were under such sharp scrutiny and were of such deep interest to people working on biblical religion, christianity, but also the late jewish religion. It brought interest by those people to bear on these texts at a level that it hadn't seen before. The notion that there are links, or residences or reflections, between the hermetic and, for example, the the greek new testament got a new kind of attention. And the naghamadi discovery comes in here too, because we now can integrate a another big hermetic tractate and some other bits and bulbs that are sort of related texts into the whole corbinative.
