Imitation Is a Faily Mode of Imitation

In a study, children imitate both parts of your behavior even when they can see for themselves that the first part had no effect. This is called over imitation and comes out in cognitive science literature. It turns out that what seems on the surface like the human kids being dumber than the chimpanzees, they're actually operating at like one theory of mind level beyond the chimpanzee.
