How to Analyze Differential Rotation of the Sun?

In in grate 11, i had this coop job where my task was to basically write thislikt do this analysis on the differential rotation of the sun. And what we did was we used this telescope, with obviously uve filters and what not, to record the sun spots every day. We did this every day for three months and or two months. At the end of the two months, we basically simply tracked by like superimposing these they were called sun spots. So that's how we can analyze so obviously, now with the with telescopes and what not,. it's a whole new ball park. It's a little bit different. But always nice to go back and think about
