Design as a Mode of Inquiry

The purpose of design is to make the possible tangible, so craft is hugely important. This semester I'm co-teaching two classes and one of the students making prototypes for mobile apps. The challenge that we face in design work is that the craft part of it is so cool and it's so engaging. When you make a prototype with something like Figma and it's convincing and it looks like the thing, you feel such a rush of energy.
