The Antarctic area, the landmass of Antarctica, is much larger than the Arctic Circle. Most planes still to this day do not fly the southern route. There are a few e-tops compliant aircraft that can do nonstop over flights over Antarctica. Back in 1979 Air New Zealand was running tourism flights to go see Mount Arabas. That's right? They crashed into it and everybody died.
