The Importance of ETFs in Investing
Aaron Carroll: Khalil just kind of talked about holding good reputable companies with good balance sheets that, you know, are going to be able to withstand the types of stress. But when I look at BTI, so I went back and trapped that ETF - it seems like the returns there would be significantly higher than theETF as a whole. So why not just take those 10 biggest companies, which seem fairly diverse, instead of the whole Index? Khalil: It highlights one of the major pitfalls of investing, honestly. Investing in today's winners is likely to result in underperformance if we look back at the previous holdings.
