i think that the first gulf war was seen, especially by paul wolfewits and dick chaney, as kind of not going far enough. The claim that we had kicked the via nom sindrum was really about, well, we show that we can use american military force again in the world towards very specific kinds of ends,. And to some degree, you could say that was borne out. But for many of h the the the men rumsveld chaney and wolfwits in particular, who were involved in that war, it was unfinished business, you know. They found the right, the right instrument to finish the job.
