The Importance of Pushing Boundaries
I wanted to be more like Darcy. She was dating much older boys and that became kind of the center of her life as partying, boys, and hanging out on weekends. And I was not that way. I think I also was really an adult pleaser and I wouldn't have wanted to get into trouble with my parents. Her mom told me that she always thought she would go to college. But it never seemed like it was her goal for her. It's weird that we think about 15 year olds making choices as opposed to being parented or directed.
