The Shadow of Dionysus
The footprints of Jesus are said to be the last steps that he ever took on earth before his ascension into heaven. In Islamic tradition, there is a long-standing belief that wherever his feet touch stone, impressions were left behind. Some examples are very clearly carved by human hands, while others just thought to be natural shapes That folks have pushed their own vision onto. And it's really fascinating to think about the magic of these features.
