The question is this, god. Is it a conscious god or an unconscious god? Everybody will say god is conscious. Doesn't even sleep, probably. Though in hinduism, god does sleep. That is the destruction of the universe when god takes a nap. When you say omniscient, all knowing, that sort of implies there is consciousness there. So from consciousness, a material universe is emerges. It is created. Third approach, neither create the other. Both exist eternally, and they interact with each other, consciousness and matter. Pretty close to what panpsychist theories are now being propounded by david chalmers and some others. Their consciousness is fundamental, not
