The Police's Overreaction to Black People
On the 23rd of July, police busted an illegal drinking den in Detroit. They tried to arrest 74 people, but their wagon wouldn't fit them all in. A crowd of hundreds gathered while they were waiting and rioting ensued. After four days of rioting, one of the bloodiest riots in US history was at an end. The Motor City is Burning by John Lee Hooker soon put out a song about the event.
