The Effects of Open-Town Offices
A recent Gallup survey of the global workforce suggested that only 13% of us feel engaged by our job. A 2015 Ugov poll found that the majority of us, 51%, feel burnt out by our current jobs. People spending more time on email goes up 66%. And the promise of making people feel like they are able to collaborate with different people just simply doesn't happen. In fact, bringing your dog to work today is far more effective at bringing random people together than putting them in an open-plan office.
