Video Captioning

If you want to appeal to the widest possible audience, get text. There are tools that allow you to do it where you just record your video and ad captions automatically. If someone was deaf and seeing that they can read it, i not as good as captions. But if that's a way round it, then that's something i'd encourage you to do. Course, the other option is adding captions.
