The Differences Between Submission and Allegiance
In Romans 13, the word obey does not appear. John Howard Yoder used to say, yes, we submit and we pay the consequences when necessary. I don't see that implied anywhere in the shape of revelation. When you start bringing religious language into political, now you've really up the ante significantly. You know, it's funny. People are sometimes afraid to think through that.
