The UK's Foreign Secretary's Speech on China
Foreign Secretary James Cleverley gave a major speech on China. Argued that Britain must continue to engage with China, despite any revulsion it might reveal at the gulags being set up in certain regions. Said no significant global problem from climate change to pandemic prevention can be solved without China. He also urged China to come clean about its biggest military buildup in peacetime and warned of the risks of a Cold War with Beijing. It's important to underline here that this is being greeted by consternation among some quarters.
