In some women, estrogen can be a cause of insomnia. High estrogen pushes trip to fan down the kineerning pathway away from serotonin and melatonin. So if you have excessively high amounts of estrogen, you're going to likely make a little bit less serotonin andmelatonin. And then it'll affect your melatonin. Women seem to need more total niacin than men but they seem to be better at making niacin from protein.
