The Battle of Calpe

Cleondross arrived while the army was away, but he brought only two triremes and no transports. The Greeks continued to wait at Calpe for Cleondross, the harm most of Byzantion, passing the time by plundering and foraging to survive. After this, both the Bithynians and Farnabassus' cavalry steered clear of the Greeks. But when Xenophon and the army returned, the Greek leader succeeded in pacifying Cleondross and getting the release of those he arrested.
