Shipwreck in Nantucket
Nantucket residents Matthew Palka found what appears to be the remains of a shipwreck while out on the beach in early December. It is estimated as dating back to somewhere between 1300 and 1850. The cargo included pieces of copper that had been mined in two regions of what's now Slovakia. There were bricks from Poland, and Sweden was also probably the source of the timber.
