I Loved Doing Field Research in the Muhtaars
I followed six Muhtaars in very different neighborhoods over two years. I understood much more with observation much more than with interviews. Sometimes I felt that there were some things that they didn't wanted me to see especially because I did this research during and just after Gizet protests. The local issues became very much more politicized so the atmosphere became much more tense. That was very interesting also for me to understand how this changed the role of Muhtaar.
