The Byzantine Empire and the Scythians
The Romans and the Mongols created their empires in very different ways. But there are some interesting similarities between these two cultures. As dynasties go on as they become incredibly powerful, something within that the virtues originally created begin to move away. The question of how they divide up their vast territories was a key issue for them. They were actually prepared to carry out civil wars ending their wars of expansion in order to pursue those claims.
